Have IBS? Chronic fatigue or constipation - secrets you must know

Now if you are fed up with the run around your doctor gives you or the alternative health forums about why you cant cure your IBS or constipation.

Perhaps you are at the point that you have accepted that your body is just the way it is. Well there’s some good news, there are actually answers, not the ones that are 30 second cures but ones that actually works; but first some BODY 101 education.

If you’ve ventured into the alternative forums or studied (TCM) traditional chinese medicine, you probably know that bitter foods stimulate the liver which in turn stimulate the colon. One strong substance is Cascara Sangrada, a very bitter tree bark usually taken in pill form. This really does get the colon moving, unfortunately it also weakens the body and soon enough you wont have a regular bowel movement without it!

Now bitter is the same as alkaline for al intensive purposes. Most green plants are alkaline as well and should be part of your diet, if they aren’t well, dont read further until you make a shopping list =)

The bile secreted by a normally functioning healthy liver is also highly alkaline (very much so), this will ensure that foods will be stimulated through the colon to the exit. Bile also assists in nutrient absorption. Now if there is anything wrong with your liver (which if you live in america or any developed country is most likely the case!), you aren’t producing enough bile, meaning that your liver is clogged up or jammed up with junk. I’ll write about this in my next article.

One step is to stop eating cooked oils and too much protein this will help. The second is to thoroughly chew your food. Your body should start working at least 10% better in 2-3 days after this. This topic is a huge one so I’m going to break it apart. Till next time. As always use the contact form to send me questions, they are most welcome.

What is Chronic Fatigue?

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is an emerging illness characterized by debilitating fatigue (experienced as exhaustion and extremely poor stamina), neurological problems, and a variety of flu-like symptoms. The illness is also known as chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS), and outside of the USA is usually known as myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). In the past the syndrome has been known as chronic Epstein-Barr virus (CEBV).

The degree of severity can differ widely among patients, and will also vary over time for the same patient. Severity can vary between getting unusually fatigued following stressful events, to being totally bedridden and completely disabled. The symptoms will tend to wax and wane over time. This variation, in addition to the fact that the single cause of the disease is not yet known, makes this illness difficult to diagnose, and even more difficult to cure.

The core symptoms include excessive fatigue, general pain, mental fogginess, and often gastro-intestinal problems. Many other symptoms will also be present, however they will typically be different among different patients. These include: fatigue following stressful activities; headaches; sore throat; sleep disorder; abnormal temperature; and others.
